Project overview

Council is developing the next stages of the Creswick Streetscape project.

Focused on Cambridge Street, the project aims to:

  • Improve drainage and stormwater.
  • Formalise parking.
  • Increase the usability and amenity of the open space.
  • Boost pedestrian connections.
  • Improve road safety.
  • Improve tree canopy coverage.

  • Council seeks input from users, businesses and residents on the best way to balance each of the aims for the best outcome. Your feedback will be used in the development of the final design.

    How to participate

    Council has prepared three main concept plans, each with an additional option. Please review the Cambridge Street Streetscape options below and complete the short survey to share your feedback. The survey closes Sunday, 2 June 2024.

    Community drop-in sessions

    We will be hosting two community drop-in sessions to give you the opprtunity to ask questions

    Wednesday 8 May 2024 – 10am to 11am

    Saturday 18 May 2024 – 10am – 12noon

    Location - Onsite near the corner of Cambridge and Victoria Streets.

    Next steps

    Your feedback will help to further inform the final design. An overview of how the final design has responded to community feedback will be shared with the community. Construction is expected to begin between December 2024 and April 2025.
