Project update – February 2025
Project construction is underway at Victoria Park, Daylesford for the Oval & Netball Court Sports Lighting Upgrade. The light pole footings have been completed with the boring of the footing holes and concrete poured on site at the oval and netball last week. The light poles have been delivered and trenching will commence in the coming days. Measures are in place to ensure the safety of park users during this time.
The project is supported by the Victorian Government’s Country Football and Netball Program and is on track for the anticipated completion in April this year.
Project overview
The Victoria Park, Daylesford Oval & Netball Court Sports Lighting project will upgrade the AFL oval lighting to 100 lux level LED and the netball court lighting to 200 lux level LED.
The project has received $250,000 funding through Sport and Recreation Victoria’s 2023-2024 Country Football and Netball Program with contributions from Daylesford Football Netball Club and Hepburn Shire Council.
The project is being delivered through a partnership between the Victorian Government, Council, Daylesford Football Netball Club and support from AFL Victoria and Netball Victoria.
