April 2026 update
The old light poles have been removed, and ground trenching works are complete.
Contractors have commenced doing the boring works (we use boring as opposed to trenching near significant trees to protect their ongoing health).
The new poles are expected to arrive in early May and then it’s expected that the lights will be operational by the end of May.
In other great news, a planning exercise is underway to design the two new pitches that will be serviced by the lights.
Project overview
The Soccer Sports Lighting Redevelopment Project in Victoria Park Daylesford will upgrade the soccer field lighting to 100 lux level LED.
The project has received $269,780 funding through the Sport and Recreation Victoria’s Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund - Round 2 with contributions from the Daylesford & Hepburn United Soccer Club and Hepburn Shire Council.
The project is being delivered through a partnership between the Victorian Government, Council, Daylesford & Hepburn United Soccer Club and support from Football Victoria.
Upgrading the soccer field lighting will play a key role in supporting the Daylesford & Hepburn United Soccer Club by increasing programming opportunities, enhancing player safety, and promoting long-term sustainability within the local community.
The project is anticipated to be completed by April 2026.
