Project overview
Council is a delegated Road Authority under the Road Management Act 2004 and is required to review the Road Management Plan and its associated Public Road and Public Footpath Registers every four years.
The Road Management Plan outlines how we manage the municipality’s 1,400+ kilometres local road network, including:
- The road assets which Council maintains on behalf of the community;
- Council’s responsibilities in relation to those roads;
- Performance standards for inspection of road assets, defect intervention levels and associated response times.
