Hepburn Shire Council recognises the strong commitment of our community and stakeholders to public participation. We embrace this commitment and its important role in contributing to Council decision making.

We recognise the creativity and expertise existing in our community in identifying the strengths and challenges, as well as developing solutions for our community.

We are offering two exciting initiatives for you to come and speak to us about your ideas and concerns that relate to your local community:

  • Meet the Mayor

Community Listening Posts

Community Listening Posts are returning to townships this year! Residents will have an opportunity to have a chat about ideas and concerns with Councillors and Council staff from various teams in a casual setting. No need to register or book a time, just drop in. Please note that venues will be confirmed closer to the date.

The next Community Listening Post will be held in Glenlyon on Wednesday 29 November at the Glenlyon Hall.

We invite you to come along to the Listening Posts held on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, 29 November, Glenlyon, Glenlyon Hall
  • Wednesday, 13 March 2024, Clunes, Esmond Gallery
  • Wednesday, 15 May 2024, Trentham - Venue to be confirmed

** All sessions are between 4pm and 6pm.

Meet the Mayor

Would you like an opportunity to meet our Mayor Cr Brian Hood to discuss an idea or issue that’s important to you and your local community?

Meetings are now open to request a 30 minute session.

Meetings will be scheduled on the fourth Wednesday in February, April, June, August and October and will be held in person or virtually (Teams technology) as preferred, giving an opportunity for community members to meet with the Mayor.

Please note: the Mayor and CEO will review all application forms prior to appointments being scheduled pending the topic additional officers may be present.

If your inquiry is a general request for maintenance, please log your request here or email us at shire@hepburn.vic.gov.au.

If your topic is relating to State and Federal Government responsibilities or matters beyond the powers of Council, you may be referred to your relevant Member of Parliament.

Meeting times will be confirmed by the CEO’s office.

Hard copy application forms are available upon request at Customer Experience Hubs in Creswick, Daylesford, Clunes and Trentham. These can be lodged with the Customer Experience staff or posted the address listed opposite.
