Project overview

Hepburn Z-NET is a collaborative partnership bringing together community groups, organisations, community members, experts and council to shift the Hepburn Shire to zero-net emissions by 2030.

As a community transition, having good governance structures is key to building and delivering a zero-net emission transition plan that represents the needs of our community. The governance model has been refreshed for 2025-2026 to have a Steering Committee that guides and tracks progress on the journey to zero emissions and enables thinktank ‘Roundtable Events’ on critical emission reduction topics across the year. Hepburn Shire Council and Hepburn Energy have a key role as the Secretariat for the Steering Committee.

Z-NET Steering Committee

The Z-NET Steering Committee welcomes a small group of local and diverse stakeholders from across the shire to apply. Expressions of interest will remain open until 12pm 31 January 2025 and applicants will hear back in February 2025.

Please review the terms of reference, the Community Transition Plan, Code of Conduct, and fill out the form below to express your interest.

Next steps

Get your expression of interest in by midday 31 January 2025 by filling out this short application form.

The Secretariat will select 2-5 members for the Steering Committee based on relevant experience to the goals of the Hepburn Z-NET strategy and Community Transition Plan.

All successful applicants will be contacted and their position confirmed in early February. From there an induction pack will be sent out along with a proposed schedule of meetings for 2025.
