This project forms part of a greater vision for the entire Town Hall Precinct. This first stage will develop the existing outdated and underutilised 1950s Daylesford pool and turn it into an revitalised aquatic facility adjoining a newly developed Civic Plaza, providing much needed green space in the Daylesford CBD and improved access leading to the Senior Citizens Centre.

This project’s key components include:

  • Pool Amenities:
    • New Kiosk, Universal Design and Family Friendly Change Amenities and Plant Room
    • New toddlers pool with water play features
    • Access Pod providing all-abilities pool access to the 50m pool)
    • Shade structure enhancements and landscaping to include universal design access across the site
  • Civic Plaza:
    • Utilising space from the existing pool grounds to create an attractive and welcoming entry to the Daylesford Pool and Senior Citizens Centre
    • A much-needed public accessible open space that can also cater for small scale community events, along with becoming a breakout space from the highly utilised Daylesford Town Hall
    • Universal Design access to the Senior Citizens centre.
    • Civic Plaza Lighting and outdoor (event) space with access to power outlets

The project is funded by The Australian Government, The Victorian State Government and Hepburn Shire Council.
