Council has received funding through The Building Blocks Grants – Planning Stream to scope, develop and design an expansion project to the existing Daylesford Community Childcare Centre with an aim to increase the footprint and improve access that will support the full roll-out of three-year-old kinder, the transition of four-year-old kinder to pre-prep and increasing capacity of the 0–3-year-old in preparation for kinder.

The Building Blocks Grants – Planning Stream helps fund planning and pre-construction work for kindergarten building projects that will support the roll-out of three-year-old kinder and pre-prep. For the purposes of this grant stream, the ‘planning process’ includes the scope development, design and costing required for a project before it is tendered for construction.

The survey will be open from 6 March to 22 March 2026.

Sessions with the three-year-old and four-year-old kinder groups will be held later in coming weeks to gain a child perspective on the facility.
